Magic Lessons, the podcast, by Elizabeth Gilbert, might have been called Queen for a Day, the Creative Edition. Gilbert selected a series of readers, listened to their stories and provided sage advice for tackling their creative challenges. Bravely, she checked back at the end of the series to see whether her advice had worked–but seriously, a half-hour one-on-one with a mega-selling author (who often brings in another mega-selling author to confirm or deny her hunches) would be the ultimate Hawthorne effect.
